Since 2019, the matemaTiKKA Award has been integrated in the tikka Matematika Seminar. This award scheme aims to promote innovative project practices in schools/colleges that strengthen effective mathematics learning through student and/or educators and/or parents engagement.

Each year a particular theme is chosen and all submitted project nominations are vetted and shortlisted. The coordinators of the shortlisted projects are notified to present their project through a 5-minute Power Point presentation (maximum of 3 slides) and a free-standing roll-up banner (185cm x 200cm) or a 2-minute (max) promo-video, to a board of adjudicators. The winning project is announced during the tikka Matematika Seminar
